Directors of Burnett Regional Funeral Services since 2007 and Childers Woodgate Funeral Services since 2011.

Fred is a registered nurse and midwife and Shirley is a qualified teacher. Fred and Shirley are local people caring for local communities. Both Fred and Shirley have a proven track record of being caring, considerate, tactful, sympathetic and at all times discreet.

“Where caring comes first” is not just a motto, but something the Hampsons believe in and live by, not only from arranging the funeral but to the after care of families as well.

Whilst Fred and Shirley were initially based in Gayndah, they purchased a house at Woodgate Beach in 2012 and these days divide their time between Woodgate Beach and Gayndah. They are thankful to have a very supportive team that enables them to work between both businesses.

Shirley possesses her Certificate IV in Celebrancy whilst Fred has studied the relevant units for becoming a funeral celebrant.

Both have years of experience in dealing with bereaved families and will work with families to ease the burden of their loss and organize a funeral service that is personalized and celebrates the life of your loved one in a way that their life is worth celebrating.

Both Shirley and Fred are available to perform any type of funeral service required by families including religious and non-religious ceremonies, cultural specific ceremonies, graveside services, committal ceremonies at crematoriums.

They possess the qualities of a highly qualified, professional celebrants:

Tina is the most recent addition to our team and is highly valued. She is incredibly versatile, contributing to various roles such as Funeral Director’s Assistant, Administration, and Maintenance Officer, while also offering her transfer services.

If you ever visit our premises in Gayndah and admire our beautiful gardens, you can thank Tina for her exceptional work. Previously, Tina worked as an administration officer in a medical practice, where she built a strong rapport with clients.

Trent Hetherington

Trent assists our Mortuary Team with After Hours Transfers. During the daylight hours, he for the North Burnett Regional Council. Trent is often called upon, after hours to assist where he can. He is also considered a valuable, quiet achiever of the BRFS team.
